Mama Guzzardi's was founded by Kay Guzzardi Spinelli, the daughter of Nicola and Agata Guzzardi, who immigrated to New York City from Adrano, Sicily in 1908. The youngest of 5 daughters, Kay did much of the cooking at home when her sisters left the house to get married. She learned the recipes from both her mother and father, and her love of cooking took root. Many of the recipes used today found their origins in the original Guzzardi household. We’re known for our homemade lasagna, baked ziti, spaghetti and meatballs, daily specials, and healthy portions.
