Katsuya Hollywood takes the restaurant's look in a bold new direction in keeping its fashion-forward environs at the corner of Hollywood and Vine. The location won Travel & Leisure's 2008 award for Best Design with its airy high ceilings and intimate Dragon Lounge. History Established in 2007. Katsuya's outpost at the corner of Hollywood and Vine features the dynamic pairing of master sushi chef Katsuya Uechi and world-renowned designer Philippe Starck. A slight departure from its original Brentwood location, the decor at this locale is a bit more provocative - a reflection of its Hollywood environs. Accommodating up to 250 guests, patrons can choose from several seating areas, either in the main dining room by the Sushi Bar, or the more moody Dragon Lounge with lounge-type seating for both cocktails and dining. Katsuya Hollywood was the recipient of Travel & Leisure's prestigious award in 2008 for Best Design - Restaurant.
