I started in the restaurant business in 1979 at my father’s restaurant, Europe Restaurant and Lounge, in Massillon, Ohio. My family is originally from Macedonia in Europe, which is how we came up with our first trademark business name, Europe Gyro Pizza. The name eventually was modified to EuroGyro. The first EuroGyro was started in 1984 in Akron, near the University of Akron campus. Soon after, in 1989, the Kent restaurant was opened just around the corner from Kent State University. Over the years, more EuroGyro’s were created, throughout the area. We recently rebuilt the Akron location into a brand new 2 story 5000 sq. ft. building featuring 2 new bars, one upstairs and one downstairs, which reopened in February 2012. I saw the need for a late night delivery business and set the standard for it by staying open late. I am proud to be a small business owner, and look forward to working with and serving the communities of Ohio in the many years to come.
